Logo Development
I enjoy devoting my creative energy to every stage of a logo/branding development project: from research into understanding the client's goals, to brainstorming with initial sketches, to fine-tuning the concept, to creating the final deliverables of vector-based graphics.
These pages of logo "thumbnails" represent the exploration stage of the process.
The logo ideas above were developed with the theme of "PartnerShip" for a conference event hosted by a boating supply retailer for boating product vendors. Project constraints/considerations: boating themes, navy blue color scheme, and Helvetica font family are part of existing branding standards. Ideas of Growth, Togetherness, Professionalism, and Profit could be incorporated into the concept.
A set of logo ideas for a gift shop. Project constraints/considerations: the logo would be used primarily in newspaper ads and store signage. It should look appropriate at 2 inches wide in a greyscale ad, but also display well at 2 feet wide on the storefront. A representation of the sweet pea flower, detailed or abstract, should be a key element. "Southern charm", "feminine", and "quaint but high-end and classy" were ways that customers decribed the shop, so it was desired that these be reflected in the concept.
