Green Flash
A tropical cocktail made at Longhi's Restaurant in Lahaina, Maui.
When looking out over the ocean at sunset, just as the last of the sun sinks beneath the horizon, you may see the rare phenomenon known as a "Green Flash," an intense burst of emerald green light above the water.
Ingredients, for 1 drink:
1-1/2 oz. Smirnoff Citrus
1/2 oz Midori
A splash of fresh limeade
Instructions:
Pour ingredients into a stainless steel shaker over ice, and shake until completely cold. Strain and pour into a martini glass or rocks glass, and garnish with a thin slice of lime.
Options: Garnish with pineapple or lemon instead of lime, add a paper umbrella. Can also put sugar on the rim of the glass.
