Eating, and not. 09/08/04

Times of indulgence should be balanced by times of being very careful not to eat much. Like maybe 3 days of eating 600 calories day or less will balance out one unfortunate day of 3000 calories or more. And about 1000 is good for an average day. I maintain a steady normal weight and smallish shape with that sort of balance. What happened? I guess gradually the days of indulgence became more frequent and I got less and less determined to balance them out with days of eating less.

Food! It's what sustains life, gives you energy and nutrients.

Food! It's what makes you feel bloated, heavy and tired, and makes you grow fat and look hideously lumpy.

How can these two substances be the same thing?!?
